Shaman's Rock (Gallery Wrapped Canvas)
Shaman's Rock (Gallery Wrapped Canvas)
“ On the shore of Langara Island in Parry Passage, sits an enormous boulder the Haida nation call Testatlints. It is recognized by geologists as an erratic feature deposited by glaciers during the Ice Age. A shaman whose grave lies on its summit gave the stone its Haida name.”
Shaman’s Rock was first published in 2003 as a limited edition Giclée print from a watercolour painting by Carol Evans. The Giclée process uses millions of custom-blended ink droplets to faithfully replicate Carol Evans’ artistry.
Shaman’s Rock was available on 100% Rag watercolour paper sized at 31” by 20” and the edition of 195 was sold out by mid 2004, as well there was a small edition of 50 canvas prints sized at 43” by 28” which sold out by the end of the year.
Shaman’s Rock is now available (January 2022) in a canvas Gallery Wrapped Giclée edition limited to 195 stretched frames sized to 44" by 28½" with the image artfully extended and wrapped around the 1 ⅜" thick edges … no need to frame and ready to hang.
44" by 28½" for $1650 … or sized to 60”by 38½” at $2150
